Weekly Update!

Here are some photos from Read Across America Week!
Hat Day
Wacky Wednesday
Red and Blue Day
Daisy Day
Leprechaun Traps and Big/Little Innovation Day

I have truly enjoyed looking back at the week before Spring Break. It makes me miss the girls that much more! I hope to create an online forum where the girls can share pictures and videos during the next couple of weeks, so I can see their smiling faces. More information to follow on this!

Reminders and Upcoming Dates
* March 19th- Distance Learning Begins! See below for a reminder of what I sent via e-mail on Tuesday:
For Thursday and Friday- Directions for Your Daughter:
1. Write about her Spring Break. Your daughter should apply what she has learned in word study to spell the words in her writing and use as many details as possible. She could either write about one favorite event (and go into a lot of detail) or describe her entire week. It is her choice. We may use this writing piece in future lessons.
2. Do Xtramath for 15 minutes each day.
3. Read for at least 20 minutes each day.
4. Have your daughter set up a dedicated learning space and "calm body" spot at home.
5. Work with your daughter to create a daily schedule that works for your family. Click here for the recommended LS Distance Learning Schedule.
6. Visit our blog with your daughter. I will be updating the blog tomorrow with some pictures from Read Across America Week,  and I will be posting several important things to our blog in the coming weeks.
7. Finally, here is a "Welcome Back!" video I created for the girls today. Enjoy! I have created a new page on this blog where you can easily access all of my videos throughout the weeks we are doing Distance Learning.
**Please let me know if you were unable to access any of the items that were linked above.

*March 20th- Pick up Distance Learning Packets. Here is the note from Dr. Kapetanis regarding the process for picking up your daughter's packet:
